AustCham welcomes the Conclusion of Australia-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement Negotiations

Hong Kong - 15, November 2018 - The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong today welcomed the conclusion of the Australia and Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement (FTA), announced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham.

AustCham Hong Kong welcomes news of permanent zero tariffs on all Australian exports to Hong Kong in the future.

We look forward to hearing more details regarding specifics of the FTA. These details are expected to be announced some time next year.

AustCham Hong Kong has long lobbied for a Double Taxation Agreement between Australia and Hong Kong, arguing that this complements an FTA.
