The Australian Chamber of Commerce Launches AustCham ANZ Mentoring Program For 3rd Year

23 April 2015

The Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong and Macau (AustCham) in association with programme sponsor ANZ, has announced the return of its Mentoring Program for 2015. First launched in 2013 as part of its Silver Anniversary celebrations, the program has now graduated over fifty protégés and hosted nearly thirty professional development events for its participants.

The Chamber, which has been supporting and assisting the development of the Australian-Hong Kong trade, people, and investment links for the last 27 years, has included a corporate social responsibility element in the program. While the majority of those qualifying as Mentors and Protégés in the program will be chosen from the Chamber membership, a number of spaces have also been reserved for staff of Hong Kong-based Non-Profit, NGO, or Charity organizations.

The successful applicants will be paired in a professional relationship with senior leaders of the Australian business community in Hong Kong, to focus on building character, social and leadership potential. The AustCham ANZ Mentoring Program will take applications from all interested parties until 30 April 2015. Applicants need not be members of the Chamber.

Running from May 2015, through March 2016, the program will provide regular professional development and networking activities, as well as ongoing support for each Mentor and Protégé relationship.

The numerous success stories from participants underline the importance of this programme to the Chamber, and the ongoing professional development of the protégés will continue to benefit the business community in Hong Kong. We are very pleased to be partnering with our Platinum Patron ANZ for the third year, to bring this high profile programme to life.”

The Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong and Macau is the largest offshore Australian Chamber of Commerce globally and is the second largest of 28 international chambers in Hong Kong, with more than 1,500 members, representing some 550 companies.
