【 Symposium Invitation】Restore Land. Restore Hope.
World Vision Hong Kong and EFFAS - The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies & Friends of the Earth (HK) will co-host a symposium in The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, titled "Connecting Capital with Natural Reforestation to Combat Climate Change" on 5 June 2024 (World Environment Day), to echo the focus of the day on land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience this year.

Tony Rinaudo, the “Forest Maker”, Principal Climate Action Advisor at World Vision Australia, will share his award-winning nature-based reforestation technique, Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), that he and his team have been spreading across 27 countries over the past 40 years, contributing to the regeneration of millions of hectares of land, and even generating carbon revenues in some projects for communities’ development. The event will showcase the merits of FMNR to address both climate crisis, and improve the livelihoods of vulnerable people by means of regenerating degraded land.

You are cordially invited to join the symposium to explore how corporate and philanthropy fundraising in Hong Kong can contribute to the earnest goal of World Vision in restoring one billion hectares of degraded lands through FMNR by 2030.
